A big midseason update is coming soon for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone, adding new stuff to keep players excited and playing. According to battle pass timers, Season 3 Reloaded should drop around May 1, typically launching at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all platforms.
Unlike last season’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover, Season 3 Reloaded focuses more on nostalgia with the return of Verdansk in Warzone. However, we’re still getting the delayed “Blaze of Glory” 4/20 event featuring stoner-themed content that was pushed back when Season 3 experienced delays.
What’s New in Black Ops 6

Players can look forward to the new Ladra submachine gun in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. While it may not pack the most punch, its blistering fire rate and minimal recoil make it a competitive option.
Three additional multiplayer maps are joining the rotation:
- Haven: A new 6v6 map situated in a KGB safehouse
- Signal: A fresh strike map for both 2v2 and 6v6 playlists, set inside a submarine bay
- Blazetown: A stoner-themed variant of the popular Nuketown map
The update introduces a new Recon category perk called Vendetta in slot 2. When you respawn, this perk marks your killer’s last known position briefly and rewards bonus score for eliminating them.
I’m also excited about the limited-time Joint Operations mode. This stoner-themed game mode cycles players through five different modes with various wild effects including double health, low gravity, visual hallucinations, and third-person perspective.
Zombies Updates
Zombie enthusiasts should complete the Shattered Veil main story quest before month’s end to earn the early completionist calling card reward, as Director Mode arrives for this map with the Reloaded update.
The update brings a new limited-time mode called Zombie Snacks, though details remain scarce. Players will also gain access to the Frost Blast field upgrade, returning from previous Zombies iterations to give players another option for slowing down the undead hordes.
Warzone Changes
Competitive players will be happy to know Ranked Play returns to Warzone with Season 3 Reloaded. This mode is designed specifically for trios in 150-player matches on Verdansk.
The delayed 4/20 content includes High Trip mode, previously featured on Rebirth Island but now coming to Verdansk. Players can find gummies that provide temporary boosts, and Activision hints at “massive resurgence potential and a special narrator on the comms.”
Verdansk itself receives several updates, including exterior ascenders on various buildings, the moving Train POI, and the opening of Train Station’s interior as a playable area.
Additional features coming to Verdansk include Warzone’s High-Value loot zones, the Big Game Bounty contract, Specialist perk, and the Bunker Buster killstreak.

Remember that the Black Ops Tribute event concludes at the start of Season 3 Reloaded, so finish earning those exclusive cosmetics before the month ends. The in-game shop recently added Jay and Silent Bob bundles, along with a quirky new bundle featuring an operator covered in bacon.
I recommend jumping in before the current season ends to complete any remaining challenges and prepare for all the new content. The combination of nostalgic elements with fresh gameplay mechanics should provide plenty of reasons to check out Season 3 Reloaded when it arrives next month.
