Current Backyard introduced their newest kitchen gadget at CES, the Model P Smart Pizza Oven. This handy electric oven works both indoors and outdoors, offering modern features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for easy control and convenience.
Temperature Control
The Model P reaches temperatures of 850 degrees Fahrenheit, making it possible to cook a Neapolitan pizza in just two minutes. The oven’s smart design uses top-mounted graphite elements and special under-stone heaters to spread heat evenly. Thanks to the cordierite cooking stone, your pizzas bake perfectly, especially when it comes to getting that ideal crust. Best of all, you won’t need to rotate the pizza while it cooks, this oven handles that for you.
The oven’s quick recovery system allows cooking three Neapolitan pizzas within 10 minutes. Users receive notifications when the oven reaches optimal temperature for the next pizza.
Cooking Modes and Smart Features
The Model P gives you five different cooking options to suit your pizza style, Neapolitan, New York, thin crust, frozen pizza, and broil (high or low). You can easily choose any of these modes either on the oven itself or using the companion app. A standout feature includes the Pizza Build Calculator, which determines ideal cooking times and temperatures based on specific ingredients. The calculator takes into account things like how much sauce, cheese, and toppings you use, as well as the thickness of your dough. This lets you customize the crispiness exactly how you like it.
The Model P Smart Pizza Oven will be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2025, priced at $599. Additional accessories include specialized kits and an outdoor cart option priced at $399.
