Valve has finally announced its secret game ‘Deadlock,’ which I previously reported to you. This new multiplayer game is currently in its early stages of development, with limited access given to select playtesters through friend invites.

The game’s Steam page, which appeared recently, offers minimal information about Deadlock. It states that the game features temporary art and experimental gameplay, indicating that it’s still a work in progress. A brief video accompanies the listing, showcasing a muscular, cigarette-smoking police officer on a street corner. The art style bears a striking resemblance to Valve’s popular titles like Team Fortress 2 and DOTA 2, suggesting a similar cartoonish aesthetic.

Despite the lack of official details from Valve, Deadlock has already garnered significant attention. SteamDB reports that nearly 30,000 players are currently engaged with the game. Curious gamers can even find live streams of Deadlock on Twitch, offering glimpses into its gameplay.

While Valve remains tight-lipped about the game’s specifics, it’s clear that a more extensive public test may be on the horizon. As the developer of iconic franchises like Half-Life and Portal, Valve’s new project is bound to generate excitement among fans eager for their next groundbreaking experience.
