Destiny 2 players are in for a treat as Star Wars themed content is coming to the game. Bungie and Lucasfilm have teamed up to bring exclusive Star Wars-inspired items, launching on February 4 alongside the Destiny 2: Heresy update.
New Content Details
Players will get new armor ornaments for each Guardian class, inspired by the Galactic Empire’s military. The update also includes exclusive accessories, emotes, and finishers with a Star Wars touch. This collaboration is special compared to Destiny 2’s past crossovers, which featured content from The Witcher, Mass Effect, and Assassin’s Creed.
Dreadnaught Makes Epic Return
In a January 28 broadcast, Bungie had more big news besides the Star Wars crossover. They announced that the Dreadnaught is returning in Destiny 2: Heresy, bringing the Light and Darkness saga to an end. Destiny 2’s narrative architect, Nikko Stevens, says the return of the Dreadnaught will bring new challenges. After nearly ten years of silence since Oryx’s defeat, the massive ship has awakened, catching the attention of Guardians and the Vanguard. Players will navigate its crumbling halls and take on fresh battles in its changed environment.
Bungie went through big changes in 2024, including staff cuts and restructuring under Sony. Despite this, the studio remains focused on Destiny 2 while also working on new projects like Marathon and a game that includes frogs and comedy.
