Square Enix has announced the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI will be available on September 17. Gamers can get a taste of the action right away with a demo that’s already accessible.

The game’s Steam page outlines some enticing preorder bonuses. Players who secure their copy early will receive the Cait Sith’s Charm accessory, Brave Blade Weapon, and Sixteen Bells Orchestrion Roll item. The standard version is priced at $50, while the “Complete Edition” costs $70 and includes an expansion pass featuring both the Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide DLC.

PC Requirements:

This latest installment in the Final Fantasy series demands substantial system resources. It requires a hefty 170GB of storage space and 16GB of RAM. For those with older hardware, the minimum requirements include an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-8400 processor, paired with an AMD Radeon RX 5700, Intel Arc A580, or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card.

For an optimal experience, Square Enix recommends an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X or Intel Core i7-10700 processor, along with an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card. These specifications should deliver smooth 60FPS gameplay at 1080p resolution.

The game supports Windows 10 and 11 64-bit operating systems and requires DirectX 12. An SSD is necessary for both minimum and recommended setups, and at least 8GB of VRAM is advised.

Final Fantasy XVI has already made waves in the gaming community. Critics have lauded its gameplay and storytelling, noting how it stays true to the core of the Final Fantasy series while offering fresh and unique elements.
