Korean Nintendo Site Leaks Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Details

Some unexpected leaks popped up on the Korean Nintendo website. The site accidentally showed different key art for Donkey Kong Bananza that hasn’t been seen in other regions.

The leaked artwork showed Pauline, known as the original damsel from the 1981 Donkey Kong arcade game. She also appeared later as the mayor of New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey (2017). It seems Nintendo planned to reveal her role later, since she hasn’t been shown in any official box art or promos yet.

Additional Mario Kart World Details Leaked

The mishaps continued when Nintendo Korea also published an alternative world map for Mario Kart World. This map included what looks like Rainbow Road, a fan-favorite track not officially announced yet.

Release Schedule for Nintendo Switch 2

Mario Kart World is set to launch with the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, followed by Donkey Kong Bananza on July 17.

Nintendo describes Donkey Kong Bananza as a wild adventure where players can crash, smash, and climb through almost anything in DK’s way. You can tear up the ground to swing across gaps or throw pieces during your journey. As you break down obstacles with strong punches, new areas in the game will unlock.

For Mario Kart World, Nintendo highlights that players can “drive virtually everywhere” with massive 24-driver races in each competition.
