New Astro Bot Levels and PlayStation Bots Are Coming This Year

Team Asobi’s beloved Astro Bot is getting even better. The game, which has already won over players and critics alike, is expanding with new downloadable content (DLC) later this year. The best part? It’s completely free.

Nicolas Doucet, the director of Astro Bot and head of Team Asobi, shared this exciting news during an interview with Quest Daily. While the DLC won’t be massive in scale, it will add fresh content that fans will love.

New Maps for Speedrunners

The upcoming DLC will introduce new maps specifically designed for speedrunners. These levels will put players’ skills to the test, offering a more demanding experience compared to the main game. Leaderboards will also be included, allowing players to compete for the fastest times and show off their mastery of Astro Bot’s mechanics.

For those who found the original game’s challenge levels engaging, this DLC will be a treat. It builds upon the mix of fast-paced gauntlets and puzzle-solving elements that made those levels so compelling.

More PlayStation-Themed Bots

In addition to the new levels, players can look forward to rescuing even more adorable PlayStation-themed bots. While specific details are under wraps, there are hints about which characters might make an appearance.

Some observant players noticed references to games like Rayman, Stellar Blade, and Croc in Astro Bot’s credits, even though they weren’t directly featured in the main game. This suggests we might see bots inspired by these titles in the DLC.

The exact release date for the Astro Bot DLC hasn’t been announced yet, but Doucet confirmed it will arrive sometime this year. Given the game’s popularity and the free price tag, this expansion is sure to bring even more players into Astro Bot’s world.
