Nintendo Sends Lawyers After Genki’s Console Reveal

A lot happened at CES in Las Vegas about what might be Nintendo’s next gaming console. Accessory maker Genki showed off a model they said looked just like the real thing, claiming they’d seen the final version and even knew when it might launch.

Things heated up when journalist Julien Tellouck shared that Nintendo’s legal team had confronted Genki at CES. Tellouck spoke with someone from Genki, who said Nintendo sent lawyers to handle the issue. Despite this, Genki stands by their claims, saying they don’t have any contracts or NDAs with Nintendo. So far, Nintendo’s only response has been to a Japanese publication, where they dismissed the mockups as unofficial.

Adding to the buzz, a well-known tech leaker, who’s been right about Samsung and Pixel devices before, released a detailed 360-degree render. This new visual claims to give the clearest look yet at the rumored Switch 2 console.

Gamers are keeping a close eye as more unofficial leaks pop up, but Nintendo is staying silent, as usual, about any future consoles. This whole situation shows how tricky things can get between companies, accessory makers, and leaked info in the gaming world.
