Sony brought back PlayStation Network after a major outage that lasted about 24 hours, from Friday evening to Saturday evening. The issue affected many players worldwide, making it difficult for them to access online games and digital services.
Network Issues Impact Gaming Experience
During the outage, many players struggled to log into their accounts, browse the PlayStation Store, or start certain games. While some digital games still worked, anything that required an internet connection had issues. Some players couldn’t access online games like Fortnite at all, while others could still play offline modes.
Sony Compensates Subscribers
Sony recognized the issue and gave all affected PlayStation Plus subscribers a free five-day extension. The problem was fully fixed by Saturday evening around 7 PM ET, bringing everything back to normal.
