The beloved Suikoden series is making a grand return with its HD remaster collection. Fans of classic JRPGs can relive the magic of Suikoden I and II starting March 6, 2025.
This remastered collection, officially titled Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, will be available across multiple platforms. Players can enjoy these classic games on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
What’s New in the Remaster?
The HD remaster brings several exciting updates to enhance the gaming experience. We’ve given the games a visual overhaul with high-definition background and character art. New animation effects have been added to bring the world to life, and the sound quality has been improved for a more immersive experience.
A dialog log helps players keep track of the story, while auto-battling and a double-speed battle option cater to different playstyles.
Suikoden, first released in Japan in 1995, made its mark with its unique features. The game boasts an impressive roster of over 100 party members, many requiring special conditions to unlock. It also includes a subtle base-building mechanic, where your home base develops as you progress through the game.
