CD Projekt has recently shared a news about their upcoming project. The next installment in The Witcher saga, codenamed Polaris, is making great progress in its creation.

Pre-production Nearing Completion

According to Michał Nowakowski, joint CEO of CD Projekt, the team working on Polaris is approaching a crucial milestone. They’re about to wrap up the pre-production phase, which means full production will commence shortly. This update shows that the project is advancing well, getting us closer to the next chapter in this popular fantasy series.

A New Direction for the Series

While the game’s plot details are still secret, we’ve learned that Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt of Rivia, is part of the project. However, the new game won’t focus on Geralt this time. This change means we might see new characters and explore new areas in the Witcher universe.

CD Projekt is also busy with other projects. They’re working on Orion, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, and Hadar, a new IP still shrouded in mystery. Additionally, they’re developing Sirius, a Witcher spin-off that underwent a recent reboot.

The success of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime has inspired CD Projekt to explore more animation projects within the Cyberpunk universe. While a second season of Edgerunners isn’t currently planned.

As work on these projects progresses, updates about the next Witcher game will be shared. Moving from pre-production to full production is a key step in getting the new game ready.
